CHM 1050 - Introductory Chemistry I Credits: 4 Part one of a 2-semester sequence of courses in general, organic and biochemistry. This portion of the course is devoted to modern theories and concepts of inorganic chemistry including nuclear and electronic structure, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, solutions, acid-base, buffers, thermochemistry, kinetics and equilibrium. Primarily for non-science majors. Lecture hours/Lab hours: 3 hours lecture; 3 hours lab Prerequisites: MTH 0150 or equivalent score on mathematics screening test.
