PHY 1010 - Introductory Physics I

Credits: 4
Introduction to the major fields of physics with emphasis on understanding fundamental principles while placing the subject in an historical and cultural perspective.  Part 1 of a2-semester course covering mechanics, laws of motion, work and energy.
Lecture hours/Lab hours: 3 hours lecture; 3 hours laboratory
Prerequisites: MTH 0150  or equivalent score on mathematics placement test or permission of the instructor; PHY 1010 is a prerequisite for PHY 1020 .
